PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING SERVICES FOR STUDENTS
Professional counseling can assist with the challenges that college brings. It can help develop and strengthen skills to overcome new challenges or those that have been impacting you for a while. Some of the reasons you may seek a counselor are depression, anxiety, problem solving skills, social isolation, grief, family problems, PTSD, ADHD and eating disorders. If it is negatively affecting you, no problem is too small to address with a professional.
We have partnered with 5 specialists who are available by appointment to speak with you about any issues that may interfere with your personal development, well-being, academic productivity or are causing you anxiety and stress. These services are provided in the safe and confidential platform of Telehealth (and for a couple counselors, in-person).
Through the provision of a very generous private donor, each current Florida College student can receive 5 counseling appointments at no charge this school year. After that, should additional or long-term counseling be needed, reduced rates will apply. Some counselors will also accept insurance.
